Zoinks!! And jinkies!!
I suppose that it's good to know that Shaggy and Velma make it to the 22nd century.
Or is it?
Oh, Shaggy. You should have stuck with the pizza and Scooby Snacks...
At least Scrappy Doo is not around in this future...we hope!!

OMG. My 8yo loves Scooby-Doo, and a recent DVD we watched had three bonus episodes, including one with Scrappy. Now, I remembered HATING Scrappy from when I was a kid, but I didn't really remember why. And then I watched that episode.
So, it's not just that Scrappy is as annoying as hell (though he certainly was). But... in that episode, Shaggy, Scooby, and Scrappy go to a ghost town. Which is, you know, haunted by ghosts. Who scare the trio. So they run away. The end.
THAT IS NOT EVEN VAGUELY HOW SCOOBY-DOO WORKS, WRITERS. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!?!!!!!
Is Shaggy a Seymour analogue drooling on the smiley face button instead of dripping ketchup on it?
SF--Yeah, for a while there the Scooby Doo creators kind of lost the mission, giving us actual supernatural phenomena rather than teaching that a rational skepticism is warranted because it's never a ghost.
I've seen a few of the modern Scooby-Doos that have actual supernatural things, and they always make me mad. But this Scrappy cartoon was the next step in bad ... not only supernatural, but no mystery at all! And the "heroes" are chased off. (Actually, now that I think of it, isn't "heroes have misadventures with ghosts and run away" the plot of an early Mickey Mouse cartoon?)
