The Scorpion is attacking the Daily Bugle (again). But instead of Spider-Man being there to rescue JJJ...
Those lines just really amused me. "I'm a hero, not a politician! I don't argue jurisdiction while lives are in danger!"
It's like Cap was arguing against the Sokovia Accords 35 years early!

Admit It--You Want To Read Every One Of These Now!!
On the letters page of Marvel Team-Up #101 (1981):
This was no small thing. It's easy for us to forget in 2016, with our instant access to virtually all information ever. But 35 years ago, there was no GCD, no Wikipedia, no way to tell who had starred in all of those earlier MTU's you might have missed, short of scouring back issue bins (OK, OK, Spider-Man was a pretty good guess for most of them...). And the villains, too!
So thank you, Marvel Team-Up #101, for helping us lust after comics that we hadn't read yet!!

Friday Night Fights--Mild Headache Style!!
Quick and dirty for this week's Friday Night Fights.
It's a typical Marvel Team-Up story, with way too much stuff going on for a one-off story, including A.I.M., a pathetic revenge plan by the Rhino, a woman called Delilah whom Doc Samson falls in love with and (what a surprise) she betrays him, etc.
So let's just cut to the good stuff, with Samson taking out Ol' Hornhead:
WHAMM!
Spacebooger notes that's why you probably shouldn't have a horn on your costume...
Abuse of minor villains is from Marvel Team-Up #102 (1981), by Mike W. Barr, Frank Springer, and Mike Esposito
Now is the time for you to go and vote for my fight. Why? Ummm...I working on it, I'm working on it. Now go and vote!!

Manic Monday--This Is Probably Something From The X-Games!
Seriously, this looks like something you'd see on ESPN2 when you have insomnia:
I'd watch the "Grab The Hammer After The God Throws It And See How Far You Go" event...
BTW, I've never been the biggest Al Milgrom fan, but I've gotta admit, he drew the hell out of this cover...
Marvel Team-Up #148 is from 1984.

Friday Night Fights--Freaky Friday Style!!
You all loved Freaky Friday, right?
Well, tonight is Freaky Friday Night Fights, as there's some swapping going on!
Doctor Strange and Spider-Man are facing off against Xandu The Unspeakable! Sadly, though, the fight is taking in Xandu's home dimension...and while he is holding the Wand of Watoomb, he controls all the physical and magical laws. To wit:
That's cold, dog!
Wha the...?!?!?!
SPAKT!!
It's not all that often you see Doc Strange get in the last punch!!
Spacebooger laments that you probably couldn't tell a story like this in today's comics...
Jodie Foster Spider-Man and Jamie Lee Curtis Dr. Strange freak out in Marvel Team-Up #21 (1974), by Len Wein, Sal Buscema, & F. Giacoia and D. Hunt (inks)
Now is the time for you to go and vote for my fight. Why? Because power-switching, baby...power-switching!! Now go and vote!!

Manic Monday Triple Overtime--Great Moments In Strange Diagnoses
Xandu (The Unspeakable!) learned a hard lesson as a young man:
Chicks and magic don't mix!
The diagnosis?
"A trance-like stare resembling death..." Sounds like many a husband on an NFL Sunday, am I right, ladies?
Well, after twenty-one pages of unnecessary fighting (hey, it was Marvel Team-Up, you know?), the guy who is both a doctor AND Sorcerer Supreme says, "Dude, I got this!"
See, she wasn't in a sleep resembling death...she was in a death resembling sleep!!
Uh....
No, I don't know what that means, either.
Seriously, in what way did it "resemble" sleep?? Was she breathing? Snoring? Was there a pulse?? Was she hogging the sheets? Than how was she, you know, dead? Uh, Len Wein, what's the deal?
Maybe Scott can help us out here...

Manic Monday Bonus--The Rashomon Spell!
So, I think that Spider-Man has been hypnotized...
Yup, that's hypnotized, all right. But what miscreant would dare such a thing?
Ah, Xandu The Unspeakable. Swell guy.
But what's his game?
Yes, Dr. Strange has some gem that Xandu needs for some reason, so he makes Spidey think that the Sorcerer Supreme is his enemy, and sends him to fetch it.
So when Doc Strange sees the scene this way...
Spider-Man sees it a little differently:
So, our Rashomon Battle is on!
So, that's how Spidey would see (and beat) and evil Doctor Strange.
Still, he's better than Mark Millar's version of Strange, so maybe Xandu needs to up his game a bit...
