The Scariest Cover You've Never Seen--SUPER CIRCUS!!

Hey, here's a nice, relaxing way to start your Saturday...

AHHHHHHHH!!!!

For the curious, Super Circus was a weekly show on ABC from 1949-1956. Mary Hartline (her real name!) is mostly forgotten today, but at the time she was something of a sensation, especially to young males, and became known as "television's first sex symbol." Really.

But despite the short skirts and boots, don't forget the show also featured this:

Sleep well, my friends. Sleep well.

From Dell Four Color # 592 (1954)

Mary Hartline was very well-known in Chicago and last I knew, still made appearances at shows.

Marx toys even made a small vinyl figure of Mary for it's circus playset.
