What's In A Name, Chapter LXXVI--Pay Better Attention, Reed!!

So, Reed Richards has lost his powers, and the FF are breaking up (that trick never works!).

Reed has asked S.H.I.E.L.D. to come and crate up a bunch of their old crap from the Baxter Building, and--
Wait a minute...Agent Parnival??

Hello, Reed...get your head out of the clouds!

Dude, you keep saying his name. Surely you must realize that that this guy is really:

As this page shows, no one in the history of ever has ever had the name Parnival, so perhaps Reed should have tweeked onto the much more quickly. Also, maybe Plunderer should use a more common, less obvious name when he's going under cover...

Then again, Parnival Plunder is British...maybe Parnival is actually a common name in England...

Also, apropos of nothing, but isn't Reed's real power being "Reed F'n Richards, Hyper-Genius, the man who uses his stretching powers mainly to press extra buttons on doohickeys"? – if he/they lost his powers like that, why not either just keep working on SCIENCE!!! on the research side or else go join up with S.H.I.E.L.D. (instead of just handing over the goods by themselves) and keep cranking out the sorts of things he would make for Ben Grimm, just for The Pursuit of World Peace instead?

Well, at they point, they were still laboring under the Roy Thomas-created "our charter of incorporation says the FF must have 4 super-powered members" shibboleth, so a break-up was required (building up to a restoration in the rapidly approaching #200, of course). Also, Reed did keep working on science, except it turned out that he was hired by a clone of Dr. Doom, and...
