So she takes off to get the interview for herself. Of course, the drug didn't really put Clark to sleep...
I'll bet that when they got married, this first date got mentioned a lot whenever they had an argument...

That issue was also the first comic appearance of Jimmy Olsen, BTW. (He was the blond kid in that first panel.)
Actually, I rather like that he characterized Lois not as "just like a woman..." but like a NEWSPAPERWOMAN!
Because let's face it...Lois can be out and out crazy sometimes.
