Still, we should have guessed...
Because it's been pretty damn obvious, isn't it?

Oh man. That actually makes me feel sort of sad. Why doesn't that quote say "writers were told to 'write the best damn stories they could'"?
I did not know this...and yet...it all makes so much SENSE now!
