With Pacific Rim debuting, featuring kind and gentle kaiju (giant monsters) being shamelessly hunted and beaten by evil Jaegers (giant human-operated mecha), well, this week's Friday Night Fights kinda had to go that direction, too.
Red Ronin, the giant Godzilla-fighting robot, has been stolen by a crazy scientist with dreams of using Red to bring about world peace and happiness and other nonsense.
Things go awry, as they are wont to, and Ronin ends up stuck in automatic "destroy" mode--yes, it really says "destroy" on the controls--and no one can stop him as he heads to New York City.
No one except a total team effort from the Avengers!
Wonder Man tries the old "throw a Quinjet at him" method--
So Captain America and company step forward with a complex and daring plan:
Spacebooger thinks I'm a little mixed up about whether the kaiju or the jaeger are the good guys.
