But soon enough, there's excitement!
Whatever shall we do?
ATLAS!
Oh, New England, don't ever change!
Yet there is one more person in the house!
Prometheus!!
Believe it or not, that's the last summons Kid will make this story!
But our tale is nowhere near done. Why did Mr. Stanley start the fire?
Kid goes to talk things over with Stanley in his jail cell!
So, curses are real in this cosmology...well, why not? Kid can summon the dead, after all!
Well, it's time can kid to utilize one of his lesser-known powers...
Time travel!!
Oh, New Englanders, you haven't changed!
At Sarah's trial...
But the evidence is pretty clear!
CSI Salem!
Unfortunately, what has already happened cannot be changed!
Look, putting curses on people seems the wrong way to disprove that you're a witch.
And, you can put curses on people--curses that actually come true--if you're not a witch? Is this a "deathbed" only thing? Or can you do it any time? To anyone? Only in response to injustice? I'm so confused.
Or maybe she really is a witch?
Whatever the rules, it doesn't matter, because you can't change history. So there's nothing Kid can do.
Or is there?
Don't forget, Keeper is 2 billion years old, so he's already lived through this era. And he finally remembers something big that is about to happen:
A lightning-caused tsunami. Sure, why not?!?
Sarah is surprisingly non-nonplussed by the far-flung future of 1945!
So it's time she meet the current eldest Stanley son...
So while the preceding 300 years of cursed Stanleys could not be saved, the curse was lifted.
And in an improbably fast legal proceeding...
Well, that's that. Hey, where's Keeper?
Keeper, you sly dog!!
Say, couldn't Kid have summoned the dead Sarah Abel to meet Stanley and lift the curse? Or can only living people lift curses?
Still, this was quite a touching story of forgiveness.

Thanks for opening my eyes to this series. Quality Comics really lived up to their name.
