And so begins the long, dog days of summer.
Here, in the USA at least, the period between the Fourth of July and Labor is interminable.
Two thirty-one day months, with no holidays whatsoever to break things up. Hot days, and lots of them, oh, and more heat. Yet the time is tinged with a cold melancholy, because we know that every single days brings us closer to another Michigan winter.
Yuck.
Well, fortunately, I have something to cheer myself up.
Because what can chase away the summer doldrums better than...
...a kid flying a bat-winged airplane while attack a giant octopus with an axe.
You're welcome.
