Alliterative Albacore!!

If there's one thing you have to love about Golden Age Namor, it's his seemingly inexhaustible supply of alliterative oaths based on sea life.

All of these are from one single story. Some of the panels have been cropped to remove offensive racial characterizations...

The author of this story is unknown, but we here at Slay Monstrobot offer the most respectful round of applause to this stalwart scripter, who could not be deterred in his determination to alliteratively address every single sea creature with an ominous oath. Congratulations!!

From All-Winners Comics #11 (1943)

I'm sorry. I missed all those alliterations. I couldn't tear my eyes from the shape of Namor's head.

Why is he going after fishing boats?

Arynne--they were Japanese fishing boats. That's all you needed in 1943...
