Hal Jordan in a nutshell:
Seriously, they must have been setting the bar pretty low for Jordan to be considered the "greatest" GL ever.
In fairness, Hal's body ("but not his will"...seriously, Marty Pasko? What does that even mean?) was being controlled by the demon Ghast...and then Saturn Girl of the Legion "interfered" with his concentration:
"Every erg of her mental energy?" Please, sister, this is Hal Jordan, not Brainiac-5. You could have just flashed some leg and disrupted Hal's concentration...
Hal's self-fistification is from Justice League Of America #148 (1977).

Ah, the dreaded "Interfering with concentration" superpower.
Talk about an inferiority complex. Stay tuned next issue as Green Lantern tries to build a house of cards! Will he make it in time?
Well, you have to remember, Rot Lop Fan isn't technically a Green Lantern.
Keep adding that kind of loophole, and Hal starts to have a (slim) chance.
