The Day Rang-A-Tang Saved Charlie Chaplin!!

Rang-A-Tang The Wonder Dog, and his handler, Hy, are trying to help out a Hollywood studio...

Wow, Charlie Chaplin Harly Shaplyn!!

Now, this is interesting, as obviously the real Chaplin did make a classic film mocking Hitler and Mussolini, The Great Dictator. But while that film didn't debut until October of 1940, this comic--Blue Ribbon Comics #6--hit the streets in July of 1940, which means the story was likely produced a month or two earlier! Obviously the Chaplin film had been getting a fair amount of pre-publicity!!

Any, Chaplin's Shaplyn's film has been getting some threats:

And if there are threats...

...you can count on Rang-A-Tang to thwart them!!

GOOD DOG!!

But we never find out what happened to the real Stark Brable film...

It was sure a different time. I wonder how Bundonian-Americans today feel about "Bundsters" being thrown around so easily...
