For years,Sally O'Neil had her own feature in National Comics. Daughter of a police sergeant, graduate ("with distinction") from the police academy, high marks in sharp-shooting and jiu-jitsu, Sally was one of the first fictional female cops.
I won't tout her as a feminist icon, but Sally did pretty well for herself, especially when compared to her Golden Age counterparts. She usually handled herself pretty well, and usually didn't need to be rescued at the end of the tale my male officers/boyfriends.
And then there's this case:
YOW!!
The local police are hunting for Nick The Knife...
So she gets the drop on him in his apartment...
You know, Sally, tossing knives out of windows might be a good way to get someone hurt...?
Now, there's a lot of fun things you can do, physically, when you have a cop and a killer handcuffed together, and this story does most of them. Enjoy!
Art for this is (probably) by Bill Ward.
