Superboy moves dozens of worlds "to the other side of the universe" and saves "countless billions of lives" in the VERY FIRST PANEL of Superboy #140 (1967). Seriously, there's 12 1/2 more pages to this story, even though Jim Shooter has just completely blown your mind in panel number 1!

Saved them? Or destroyed each and every ecosystem?
That's the beauty of the Silver Age--you didn't have to worry about stuff like "ecosystems" or, more broadly, "reality." Plus, the story was written by a fifteen year old kid--so much for Sputnik having improved the science education of American kids, eh?
Ha! And people bitched about Superboy-Prime moving Rann into Thanagar's orbit in the run-up to Infinite Crisis!
