Two astronauts,"Rocket Ace" Ian Stannard and young cadet Johnny Mack are blasting off on a moon mission!
Gee, I wish there was someone who could quickly and clumsily fill us in on the background of this story before we go on any further...

I recently watched the French Bond spoof OSS 117, the first one, set in Cairo. Anyway, it's got this character who is supposed to be a parody of clumsy exposition woman, but it just comes off as... well... clumsy exposition.
There's not way to do this well.
I've seen the parody of clumsy exposition done well once before. But that was likely the exception to the rule.
