This one is
for the ladies (or gentlemen, if they prefer):
Yup...
LLWW3.
Monday beefcake from Giant Size Incredible Hulk #1, reprinting the Stern/Byrne/Layton classic from Incredible Hulk Annual #7 (1978). Wait...was that REALLY 30 years ago? Wow...I am f#$%ing old...
Hmm, the title says "*Angle* is a hottie".
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Angel has lots of nice angles but I don't think this is what you meant. ;-)

I assure you, it was a purposeful "mistake."
ReplyDeleteIt was a reference--admittedly very obscure--to the early days on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer posting boards. Many a drooling young adolescent would post about what a hunk David Boreanaz was, and invariably they would misspell "Angel" as "Angle." So the phrase "Angle is a hottie" became a "clever" way to dismiss someone as a newb. Given the subject matter of this post, I couldn't resist using the phrase as the title.
Not that I ever spent much time around the BtVS sites. Nope, not me.

ReplyDelete*Sigh* My interweb-fu failed me. :(
I suppose it's like the Rouge/Rogue farce. Anyway, carry on...
Don't sweat it--it's a joke *maybe* 5 people on the whole planet would catch.
ReplyDeleteWhat's the point of having a blog if you can't make obscure "jokes" no one else gets?
I thought it might be a geometry joke in that Angle is acute.
ReplyDeletePerhaps I'm just being obtuse.
