Friday Night Fights--It Style!!

It's time to learn your Marvel history in this week's Friday Night Fights!

Most of you cats out there probably don't remember It, The Living Colossus.

Well, let me tell you, he was pretty boss.

He started in the Atlas days, as a 100 foot tall granite statue, carved by a Soviet dissident. And a visiting alien was somehow able to take over the statue and threaten the world!

 Good stuff.

After another horror mag appearance, the statue was shrunk down to 30 feet tall (by SCIENCE), and disabled Hollywood special effects man Bob O'Bryan was somehow able to use his consciousness to animate the big guy!

Meanwhile, evil scientist Dr. Vault kept sending giant monsters after O'Bryan, because he wanted it to house his own conscious, as his body was dying.

The series only lasted 4 issues, but man, what a 4 issues!! A kung fu battle with Fin Fang Foom?!?! Holy crap!!

Anyway, let's leap ahead 7 years, as the Hulk is rampaging in Hollywood, and a near-death Dr. Vault has seized control of It. The result? Inevitable fight...

It's only a flesh wound!

Well, that's enough to finish off Dr. V...

But...but...those gazillion particles of It...scattered through the air of Los Angeles...doubtlessly inhaled by thousand of Angelinos! What if Vault were still alive? And what if, thanks to their inhaling bits of It, he could now control all of those people?!? And he could make them form a giant flesh-creature, a colossus made up of other bodies, and...

Spacebooger notes that this is why snell isn't allowed to write comics.

Death of the greatest character ever is from Incredible Hulk #244 (1980), by Steven Grant, Carmine Infantino (!!), and Mike Esposito

Now is the time for you to go and vote for my fight. Why?!? It, man. IT!! Now go vote!!
