Lois has just made a donation to the Brentwood Rehabilitation Home, a sort of private juvie for "incorrigible boys," which cares for them and teaches them useful trades.
Ah, but Clark has heard rumors that it's not such a nice place--and it turns out he's right! They're running a child labor sweatshop, with the wards forced to work from dawn until midnight making things the evil proprietors then sell in "other states," all the while starving the kids and using evil guard dogs (Black Satan!) and the like.
So it's time for Superman to bust up this joint! And let me tell you, there's plenty of dangerous crap in this "rehabilitation home":
Suffice it to say, Superman rousts them, Lois finds evidence aplenty to convict them (after getting rescued twice!), and a "swell" superintendent is put on charge of the home.
But now where will Kal-El find hot poker and anvils to eat?!?

Each to their own, Snell - I'm getting a bigger kick out of playing marbles with bullets! That's something that needs to be redrawn by Frank Quitely, or somebody.
ReplyDelete(Superman hanging halfway through a basement window, trying to sneak into a place, seems strangely jarring, though)
It isn’t any wonder he bursts through walls so often, if this is the kind of welcome he gets when he doesn’t do any property damage.
