One of the problems with modern magic heroes in comic books is all they do is stand around and throw colored lights at each other:
I mean, that's fun and all, and it's nice that we finally have a good enough CGI to portray that on the silver screen.
But back in the Golden Age, magicians actually did things, and made stuff happen:
See, now THAT'S what a comic book magician-hero should be doing!!
I'm sure that nothing remotely that cool will happen in the Doc Strange movie...

Yeah I was bummed when I saw the trailer for Dr. Strange and all the "magic stuff" looked just like Inception. I was REALLY hoping for some crazy Ditko-esque open mouths with fangs for portals and crazy paths through limbo type stuff.
ReplyDeleteThe good doctor has never been a favorite of mine but I was at least hoping for a truly trippy visual experience.
Oh well they're going to get our money either way I guess.
