So, I was out of comics for a few years back around the turn of the century.
Well, the less said the better about The Great Interregnum. And after an absence of some 3 or so years, my sister unintentionally dragged be back into comics.
15 years later, I'm still trying to get caught up.
So, for example, until today, I had no idea that THIS guy existed:
Wait. Seriously? For real?!?
There was a villain...named Dr. Villain? This was real, and not some early try-out for The Venture Brothers?!?
Yes, he was real:
The fact that his name was pronounced "Wil-hane" actually makes him even more a Venture Brothers character.
I mean, this can't have happened, right? The boys at my LCS photo-shopped this, and glued the page inside one of the Quarter Bin books, knowing I would find it, right?
Dr. Villain. I mean, wow.
I can only hope that they use him in a season 2 episode of Supergirl, and everyone spends the whole hour making fun of his name.
Seriously, why did no one tell me about this?!?!?
Dr. Villain...you turn your head away for a few years, and they come up with Dr. Villain...
From Team Superman Secret Files #1 (1998)
You can't tell me the poor guy wasn't teased unmercifully in school.
