Tales From The Quarter Bin--Wanna See Kelley Jones Draw An Archie Cover?

OK, OK, it's not a cover of Archie per se, but from the "Archie Adventure Series."

The Adventures Of Bayou Billy was an adaptation of a Konami video game, and this issue was the last of the run. Billy was a kick-ass Cajun(?) bounty hunter with a mysterious past and a hot girlfriend, and he spent his time mostly fighting evil New Orleans crime boss Godfather Gordon (who bore an unmistakable resemblance to Boss Hawg).

That dude in the ninja suit is Black Gator, evil former student of Billy's mentor, Papa Jambo, and the story plays very much like this week's episode of Human Target, except there's also this Bayou Billy impersonator running around, and...oh, it's all pretty silly. But the interior artwork is by Amanda Conner!!

And allow me to repeat--Kelley Jones cover on an Archie book:

Thank you, Quarter Bin!!

Bayou Billy faces Batman Black Gator in The Adventures Of Bayou Billy #5 (1990).
