Let me assure you up front, that this is 200% completely out of context, and in the real scene nothing remotely resembling what I'm seeing here even came close to actually happening.
Still, it made me smile--a lot--so here it is:
YOU DO NOT #$%^ WITH THE APOCALYPSE DUCKS!!
OK, OK, what really happened is some guy is watching the ducks and has a flashback to something awful and tragic that recently happened (In B.P.R.D? No way...).
But still, the way those panels are laid out, the very satisfied "Quack" from the duck after a scene of hellfire and carnage (look, he's smiling, dammit)...the first thing that leaped to my tiny little mind was "Whoa, those are some badass ducks!! Look what they just caused to happen!" And since this was B.P.R.D., it was certainly possible that we had some Apocalypse Ducks swimming around.
Sadly, though, they're just normal ducks. But there are evil cats...
Apocalypse ducks appear in B.P.R.D 1947 #4, by Mike Mignola and Joshua Dysart and Gabriel Ba and Fabio Moon. Remember...the Apocalypse Ducks are no longer satified with mere breadcrumbs...

Those are some sinister ducks...
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the guard duck in Pearls Before Swine.
ReplyDeleteDucks are the natural enemies of humanity, it seems.
