No Time For Love, Doctor Jones

You know, every day it seems there's another reason I'm not allowed to write movies or comics.

Today's reason?
Almost as long a title as a Countdown crossoverHa Ha very funny!!If I were writing the new Indiana Jones movie, I would make the villain turn out to be Short Round, all grown up but incredibly twisted thanks to his experiences in the Temple of Doom. He's out for revenge, and pissed at Indy for ruining his life...

And that's why I'm not allowed to write movies.

Next up: Indiana Jones vs. Goldfinger. C'mon, how do you think Goldfinger got all that gold in the first place? Stealing from archaeological sites, of course...

I didn't really enjoy Indy 2 because of Short Round..and Kate Capshaw. I had hoped at least one of them would die by the movie's end but alas.

Because we all know taking a character only a handful of people liked, most people didn't, and some didn't care about to hate, and turning him into the villain of the piece did wonders for classics like Scooby-Doo.

If I have to tell you that was sarcasm, I pity you. I do. However, being one of the few 80's kids who never got into Raiders/Indiana Jones movies, I really don't care one way or the other. :)

I love Short Round. Does he appear in this movie or not?

Re-tarded...why does every minor side and/or supporting character have to be put "at odds" and in direct conflict with a hero in order to find use for their character?

Even if done *well*, which it usually isn't, it's cheap and almost always relies upon shock value more than anything else, "Oh, you think you know and/or love this character from some point in our hero's past who's given us no indication whatsoever that they're anything but a good guy? Well, we're going to invent something out of nowhere that changes all of that and makes him one of the worst central bad guys that you've ever seen...*SURPRISE*!!!"

A better plot device, imo, would have been to reveal that Short Round and Data from the Goonies are the same person, having been saved by Indy and brought to an orphanage/foster-home, and remembers his adventures with him and grows up to become an adventurer of his own and, of course, leads to the all-important "Indiana Jones & The Goonies" crossover!!!!

There, now in't that better? Stays true to their characters while helping to develop them as likeable persons and all without having to resort to making them "turn heel" just to find use for their character...in't that better?

Sheesh...only hacks rely on cheap theatrics :P
